We were looking for a builder to add an extensive addition to our home, built in 1899, We wanted to be sure the addition was aesthetically pleasing to the time period, yet had today’s modern conveniences. When we met Todd, of TK Construction, we immediately knew we had our builder. The addition consisted of a two-floor mother-in-law apartment that included a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom, as well as a lower-floor family room/office. At the same time, we extended our kitchen by 3x and added a spacious family room. Concurrently, we had a detached three-car garage with a full upstairs studio/workshop built with the exterior to match the house. The experience with TK was exceptional from the beginning to the end. The team was responsive to our requests and offered good suggestions that met our needs. The custom work and craftsmanship are exceptional. To a person, everyone was courteous and pleasant to work with. If we were to do it all over again, we would once again select TK Construction
We hired TK in 2015 for a multi-faceted renovation project. We have a 1931 stone house and we were very particular about who to hire. The project stemmed from our desire to expand and remodel our kitchen. However the entire project included reworking the back half of our first floor, moving and redoing our first floor bathroom, removing our old deck and replacing it with a new and improved one (which now has a roof w/skylights, speakers, an outdoor TV and fireplace). They also added a mudroom to our lower level, reworked our game room and moved the basement powder room. While they were at our home we also had them remodel our 2nd floor main bathroom. The finishes for our project were very important to us and TK handled it all beautifully — providing us with new stone on our addition to match our existing stone and lots of wood trim inside the house to make all of the new spaces feel like they were original. The results were amazing! Beautiful custom work with amazing customer service. We can’t say enough about TK.
It has been my pleasure to work with Todd, Heather, & their staff for numerous years as a supplier and a customer. They are professional, attentive to detail of what customer wants/needs, and carry out the project to customers satisfaction. On the supply side, I deal with many contractors and I would rank TK in the top 10% of my accounts. In regards to my project, Todd’s staff work diligently to every need and detail. As I have done with them on many projects, they customized many items to give my home a one of kind look. As a supplier, I could use a few more accounts like them and I have recommend them to people I know needing a project for their home.
From our first visit with Todd Klippa and TK Construction we felt confident he could take our 1957 home and turn it into our dream home. Part of the work was remodeling and part was new construction. Todd worked with us to develop a plan that met our schedule. Jarrad, TK’s superintendent, provided continuity and coordination for the project by staying on the job throughout its entirety. Although the start of the project was delayed two months, Todd and Jarrad managed their subcontractors, material acquisitions, and labor to complete the project on time and within our budget. As the old saying goes, “the proof is in the pudding”. Our new home has turned out far better than we ever imagined. We are so pleased with the quality of the work and craftsmanship throughout the construction and finishing in our home. Out thanks go out to Todd and his staff for making our dream come true.
In September of 2015 we had a car hit our house and do major damage. The insurance company wanted to write off the house but we were fortunate to have found this company. A friend recommended them to us and we can’t say enough GREAT THINGS about TK Construction. Everyone is professional and easy to work with from the owner and office staff to the on site workers. Every aspect of our project was handled with the utmost care and done right. They DON’T CUT CORNERS !!!! THIS IS SO IMPORTANT TO ANY HOMEOWNER!!!!
We were concerned about living in the house while the repairs were being made and the staff of TK Construction worked with us and kept our house secure and livable during the 3 months it took for repairs to be made.
Our foundation was replaced and waterproofed, reconstructed the front of our house completely, replaced the bathroom, replaced the porch and sidewalk, handled flooring, plumbing, insulation, drywall and electrical issues, replaced the siding and completed window installation and painting. Everyone involved with this company is pleasant, professional, courtesy and completely DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
We discussed every aspect of our project with the owner Todd and our project manager Rocco daily. Throughout this project I realized that they knew what they were talking about in completing all the various repairs that were made. You can trust what they say and do to be correct and complete. They use Builder Trend which is great for communicating and posting photos of our project. I have never seen this site before and I LOVED IT. If you are looking for someone to handle your project you CAN NOT GO WRONG with this company. If I could give them 100 STARS I WOULD. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND LOOK NO FURTHER THAN TK CONSTRUCTION FOR YOUR HOME BUILDING AND REPAIR NEEDS.
Todd and Heather were great to work with. They made the building process as easy as possible and the quality of the work was outstanding. This was a big job! We tore down half our house, dug out a basement and then built a first and second floor. The renovation included 3 baths, a kitchen, mudroom, family room, master bedroom and 3 porches. The TK team was friendly and every one was a skilled carpenter. Furthermore, they didn’t disappear after completion of the project. As with any building project, there were little things that popped up post construction. They were very responsive when we called about our punch list. We have and we will continue to recommend TK. They are awesome!
